Berkhamsted Volleyball Club was formed when Hemel Hempstead Volleyball club folded in September 1993. A number of the `old ` club members helped establish the `new ` club, not only in players but also on the organizational side as well.
Over the years the club has had it`s ups and downs much like any other club, but we pride ourselves in trying to achieve the best possible volleyball in the area. In this respect, we train and play volleyball to the highest standard possible. This means that we cater for players from National League standard to local league and beginners. However, as we are a competitive club we have a limited set up for beginners but if they were to persevere they would gain much needed knowledge so they could play in matches.
We train and play our home matches on Sundays at Berkhamsted Sports Centre. To find out when we are training or playing please go to the fixtures page where the timings are displayed.
As we are competitive club we are affiliated to the English Volleyball Association and play in the Hertfordshire Volleyball League. We have two teams at present a mens team in Division One and a ladies team in the Ladies Division.
Why not come down and join us the first session is free so that you can meet the members and see how we do things or you can contact one of the club contacts for further details.
We are please to annouce our association with the Royal Mail Sports Foundation who has supplied the volleyballs for the club.
